David is a multi-instrumentalist, director, music director, arranger, and conductor based in Glendora, California.
For the musical theatre stage, David has helmed productions of Follies, West Side Story, Sunset Blvd, The Secret Garden, Sweeney Todd, Parade, Evita, Avenue Q, Into the Woods, Jesus Christ Superstar, How to Succeed…, City of Angels, Little Me, Assassins, High Fidelity, and Chess, as well as music supervising the national tour of the family spectacular, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer since 2014.
David has also had the privilege of collaborating on the road/in the studio with a wide variety of music artists, ranging from Gwen Stefani to Dan Layus. His live arrangement of the #1 single “Hollaback Girl” has been performed on stadium stages internationally, on the 2006 DVD release “Harajuku Lovers Live”, and on television programs including SNL, Late Night with David Letterman, and the 2005 Teen Choice Awards, where it opened the broadcast. More recently, David arranged and music directed a program of music by Japanese music legend, Yoshiki (of X Japan), adapted for piano and string septet that toured concert halls as “Yoshiki Classical” throughout the world beginning in 2014, including performances at San Francisco’s Davies Hall and New York’s Madison Square Garden.
As co-founder and creative director of Los Angeles Musicians Collective, a music contracting and consultation company, David has supervised collaborations with Coca-Cola, Samsung, McDonald’s Cinemark, YouTube, iHeartRadio, and SBE. Additionally, David served as co-producer of the Reiner Staged Reading Series from 2012-2017, focusing on presenting the scripts and scores of seldom- or never-produced musical theatre works as one-night concert events in Long Beach, CA.
