RICARDO CASTRO ROMERO was born to dance.

Ricardo, his brother and sister, and his mother are each National Cultural Treasures of  Spain in flamenco.

He left home at age 15 to dance in the film “El Amor Brujo” by Carlos Saura, and joined the  Spanish National Ballet soon after. He has been a guest soloist at the Kremlin, The Kirov/ Mariinsky, the Mikhailovsky, and for over 10 years he starred at the world famous tablao  flamenco “Corral de la Morería” in Madrid, Spain (listed in the NY Times bestseller “1000  Places to See Before You Die”).

Most recently, Ricardo choreographed and starred in the Bolshoi Opera’s new production  of CARMEN and the world premiere of DEVIL IN LOVE with the Stanislavsky Opera.

Ricardo co-directs, choreographs and dances with his own company, Castro Romero  Flamenco, dedicated to preserving the culture and rich heritage of Spanish Dance, and his  photography (ricardocastrophoto.com) is receiving international recognition.
