Six time Portland Drama Critic Award winner, Susannah Mars has been based in Portland, Oregon, for the past twenty-five years, and has appeared in over one hundred productions, concerts, and recordings around the country.  Most recently she was Mrs. Lovett with Portland Opera in their Sweeney Todd.   She is a resident artist at Artists Repertory Theatre where you may have seen her as Dinah in The Quality of Life, Diana in Next To Normal, or in her one woman show Mars On Life. Ms. Mars also recently appeared at the Portland Playhouse as Margaret in The Light In The Piazza. At Portland Center Stage she was  Golde in The Fiddler On The Roof, where she has also played, among others, Mama Rose in Gypsy, Merideth in Bat Boy, and Mother in Ragtime. In future, look for the release of the cast album of the new musical WATT?!? by Brendan Millburn and David Javerbaum; the production of which she joyfully originated the role of Leilani Watt for The Village Theatre in Issaquah, Washington.  She is also on GRIMM on NBC, as Drew Wu’s psychiatrist, Dr. Richet. She has appeared with the Oregon and Seattle Symphonies, under the baton of Dr. Norman Ledyen, and has been awarded two Regional Arts and Culture Council Council grants for her solo work.
