RENT, by Jonathan Larson, has gone on to become an international phenomenon from its Off-Broadway beginnings. Fans everywhere relate to the theme and stories of RENT and certainly have connected with the characters and the actors who portrayed them. Since their time as members of the original cast, Adam and Anthony have remained close friends while each have gone on to do additional great work on Broadway, film, and TV, since originating the roles of Roger and Mark in this landmark show.

Tony Award® nominee Adam Pascal is known for his leading roles on Broadway in shows including AidaMemphisSomething Rotten!, and Disaster! He most recently toured the country starring in Pretty Woman. Anthony Rapp just completed an acclaimed run of his original show Without You Off-Broadway, and is known for starring in You’re a Good Man, Charlie BrownHedwig and the Angry Inch, and If/Then.

Adam Pascal

Adam Pascal (born October 25, 1970) is an American actor, singer, and musician, known for his performance as Roger Davis in the original 1996 cast of Jonathan Larson‘s musical Rent on Broadway, the 2005 movie version of the musical, and the Broadway tour of Rent in 2009. He is also known for originating the role of Radames in Elton John and Tim Rice‘s Aida, for playing the Emcee in the 1998 revival of Cabaret, and for playing Huey Calhoun in the Broadway company of Memphis. More recently, he played William Shakespeare in the Tony Award-winning musical Something Rotten!

Anthony Rapp

Anthony Rapp has been acting and singing professionally since he was nine years old. He is best known for originating the role of Mark Cohen in Jonathan Larson’s Tony Award- and Pulitzer Prize-winning musical, RENT, for which he shared an OBIE Award with the rest of the cast. He reprised his role in Chris Columbus’s film version opposite other members of the original cast. Other Broadway credits include the revival of You’re a Good ManCharlie Brown; John Guare’s Six Degrees of Separation; and If/ Then; and his Broadway debut was in Precious Sons with Judith Ivey and Ed Harris, for which he received an Outer Critics Circle Award and a Drama Desk nomination. Film credits include Adventures in BabysittingSchool TiesDazed and ConfusedSix Degrees of SeparationMan of the CenturyRoad TripA Beautiful Mindbwoy, and Scrap. TV appearances include “The X-Files,” “Law & Order: SVU,” and “Psych.” He currently plays the role of Commander Paul Stamets on the Paramount + television series “Star Trek: Discovery”. In 2000, he released his debut album, Look Around, and in 2006, his New York Times-bestselling book Without You: A Memoir of LoveLoss, and the Musical Rent — on which this show was based — was published by Simon & Schuster.
