Richard Rodgers Reimagined

Kyle Riabko was inspired to take on the Richard Rodgers songbook after seeing a “fan letter” that Rodgers had written to Burt Bacharach, and he will bring his unique pop/rock sensibility to many of the classics Rodgers wrote with both Lorenz Hart and Oscar Hammerstein II, performing them as they’ve never been heard before. Riabko turns his attention to such Rodgers compositions as “Oh, What A Beautiful Morning”; “The Lady is a Tramp”; “My Favorite Things”; “Where Or When”; “Some Enchanted Evening”; and “My Funny Valentine”, among others. Riabko’s album Richard Rodgers Reimagined was released by Ghostlight Records last year.

The Huffington Post wrote that Riabko brought such freshness to the music of Richard Rodgers that classics written 75 years ago sounded as if they “could have been written last Tuesday”, while Broadway World said that he gave the songs “fresh and vibrant life” and Playbill wrote, “You’ll Never Hear Richard Rodgers Songs the Same after Kyle Riabko’s latest album.”
