Audiences are whipped into a frenzy when award-winning star Catherine Alcorn takes to the stage in this sizzling concert extravaganza channeling 1970’s Bette Midler. Catherine’s razor sharp wit, mind-blowing voice and remarkable ability to capture an audience, accompanied by a fabulous 6-piece live band and dancers, make this critically acclaimed stage show bawdy, brash and just as fabulous as the original.

In 2018 The Divine Miss Bette made her Sydney Opera House and USA debut and is currently playing its anticipated twenty five date national tour across Australia. Trained by Steve Ostrow, the man who discovered Midler, the two-hour production will take you on a thrilling roller coaster rise back to the Palace Theatre, New York 1973 when she bets out the diva’s early classics including Friends, In The Mood, Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy, Do You Wanna Dance, The Rose, Stay With Me Baby and more.

Catherine Alcorn

Catherine Alcorn is an award winning artist and producer and has worked extensively in theatre, cabaret and television including The Today Show, Mornings with Kerri-Anne and Oprah’s Ultimate Australian Adventure.

As an artist, Catherine has produced and performed national and international tours of her own stage shows The Divine Miss Bette and Go Your Own Way: The Story of Christine McVie and is regular fixture in major Nationals Festival programs including Adelaide Cabaret Festival, Noosa Long Weekend Festival and Festival of Voices.

In 2018 Catherine made her triumphant USA and Sydney Opera House debut in her most famous role as The Divine Miss Bette, winning her the Best Cabaret Production in the 2018 Broadway World Awards.

As a producer, Catherine’s credits include Creative Director of Slide Lounge (2010 – 2014), Slide Cabaret Festivals (2011 – 2013), From Sydney With Love: A Concert for Orlando at Sydney Town Hall (2016), 5 Lesbians Eating A Quiche (Melbourne Fringe Festival 2016) and in October 2017 launched Glen Street Theatre’s inaugural Cabaret In The Glen program in the role of Artistic Director.

From 2014 – 2015 Catherine was both the Noosa Long Weekend Festival and Ballarat Cabaret Festival Ambassador. During her time in this role, the festivals broke attendance and box office records.

Since founding Tenacious C Presents, Catherine has produced numerous tours and delivered multiple productions to regional theatres and festivals across Australia.

Mandy Gonzalez

Mandy Gonzalez is an accomplished film, TV, and stage actor and author. She possesses one of the most powerful and versatile contemporary voices of our time. Mandy has starred on Broadway in the megahit Hamilton as Angelica Schuyler. She also originated Nina Rosario in the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical, In The Heights, for which Mandy received a Drama Desk Award. Mandy also starred as Elphaba in the Broadway production of Wicked, blowing the roof off of New York’s Gershwin Theatre each night as she belted out the signature song, “Defying Gravity.”

Mandy also received an OBIE Award and overwhelming critical praise for her performance in the Off-Broadway production of Eli’s Comin’. Television viewers have had the pleasure of seeing Mandy in her recurring roles in the hit series “Madam Secretary” and “Bull”, and alongside Steve Martin and Martin Short in “Only Murders in the Building.” Equally at home on the big and small screen, she has appeared in “Across the Universe,” directed by Julie Taymor, “After,” starring opposite Pablo Schreiber, and “Man on a Ledge” with Sam Worthington. Mandy can also be heard as the voice of Mei in Disney’s “Mulan 2.”

A frequent concert soloist, Mandy has performed with symphony orchestras around the world, including at Carnegie Hall with the New York Pops. Mandy is a Warner Music East / West artist and released her debut album, FEARLESS, which debuted at #13 on the iTunes pop charts.

Mandy is also an author—she recently published her Young Adult novel series, FEARLESS, published by Simon and Schuster.
In her quest to create positive change, Mandy is the proud founder of #FearlessSquad—a social media movement for inclusiveness and positivity. #FearlessSquad connects people around the world, encourages them to be their best selves, and helps them empower each other.
